Cancer and COVID-19 in Gaza strip-Palestine: What do we know?

As we know cancer patients are considered very vulnerable in the current COVID-19 pandemic. Our study aimed to determine association between prognosis of with and without cancer. Patients methods: We retrospectively analyzed a total 60 adult history confirmed infection recruited Al Shifa hospital Gaza strip as case-control from Mars 12, 2022 Mai 20, 2022. Logistic regression models were performed explore risk factors mortality. Results: Thirty (cancer group, mean age 57.9± 19.9; median years; 43.3% female) 30 non-cancer identified (non-cancer 42.17±14.8; 40 46.7% female). Intensive care unit admission was higher group (63.3%) than (26.7%). The mortality rate (40.0%) (33.3%) remains strongest factor for cancerous (OR= 11.9;95%CI:2.26-62.59, p=0.003). Conclusion: Cancer reported poor prognosis, closed care, management, monitoring can improve outcome disease.
